The Craft and Folk Art Museum is co-sponsoring a workshop with Josephine Press entitled
Below the Surface: Introduction to Intaglio Printmaking in conjunction with the Los Angeles Printmaking Society’s next juried membership show, “Identity”. The LAPS show will be exhibited at the Craft and Folk Art Museum, 5814 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, 90036, from September 21, 2008 through January 11, 2008.
Below the Surface: Introduction to Intaglio Printmaking will meet for six Wednesdays from 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm beginning October 1st and will end November 5, 2008. This workshop is designed for adults with little or no intaglio experience. The course will cover plate preparation, drypoint, line etch, soft ground, and deep etch, and possibly Chine-collĂ©. If you’ve always wanted to learn about Intaglio printmaking this is a great place to start.
The workshop will be held at the Josephine Press studio located at 2928 Santa Monica Boulevard, Santa Monica, CA, 90404. A map and directions to the studio can be found on the Josephine Press website: www.josephinepress.com.
